Creative Designer & Video Editor Wanted

We're an 8-year-old digital agency that makes ads people actually click on. Our clients range from fancy hotel chains to Aussie tradesman who just want more jobs without the hassle.

What's the role?

You'll be making video reel ads and creative content that converts. Having an understanding on how to hook an audience in, engage them and retain their attention is key. We are focused on adverts that make viewers take action to click and convert.

We mostly focus on post-video production video editing with footage ranging from basic iphone to high level production quality.

Hook rate, viewer retention, pattern interrupt and other basic video marketing principles need to be understood for success in this role.

You ideally have agency experience or a portfolio surrounding facebook advertising video ads.

Communication is non-negotiable - You reply promptly, ask questions when stuck, and keep us updated

Trello task management - You can organize your work and track progress without being micromanaged

We predominantly advertise on instagram and facebook so understanding of the meta platform is crucial - the main type of video we use is reel.

We've help service companies grow their businesses through lead generation. Our core goal is to help our client's achieve above average annual business growth. How? We understand direct response copywriting, how to engage our ideal customers and turn them from cold traffic into new customers.

Day-to-day duties:

  • Communication on slack with completed tasks
  • Make reel ads for Facebook, Instagam that get results
  • Design social content that stops the scroll
  • Graphics design
  • Work with luxury brands one day, local plumbers the next - mostly the same clients with additon of new ones
  • Use AI tools to speed up your creative process
  • Build basic style guides and logos

Tools you should know:

  • Adobe Creative Suite (or equivalent)
  • ChatGPT / Claude for ideas and copy

AI tools of interest:

  • Hume.Ai
  • RunwayML for video magic
  • Pippit AI for workflow stuff
  • Whatever new AI tool just dropped (we love experimenting)

What we want:

  • 2+ years making ads that actually work (agency background is great)
  • Great communication and enthusiasm
  • Portfolio full of stuff that converted, not just looked nice
  • You're already playing with AI tools and want to go deeper
  • You get performance marketing - why people click, call, buy
  • You can manage your creative project deadlines and update them if delayed

++ Bonus:  if you've done video editing with Australian brands before.
