Hope Ventures is the community arm of Hope Centre and has existed for over 20 years beginning as Brisbane CityCare, before changing to Hope Centre Services and now existing as Hope Ventures. Hope Ventures works with vulnerable individuals, families and communities across South East Queensland and has three main programs – Circuit Breaker, Mimi's House and Community Connect.
About Mimi's House:
Mimi's House is a nurture-based program of Hope Ventures, designed for children who have experienced trauma, grief or stress that may be causing them to disengage from their learning. The mission of Mimi's House is to build strength and resilience into the lives of children experiencing disadvantage by teaching life skills and helping them engage in healthy and positive relationships with themselves, each other, their families and their communities.

About the Role:
The Program Coordinator delivers the day-to-day program of Mimi's House, using a trauma-informed approach to build the self-worth and resilience of children.
The responsibilities of this This part-time contract include:
- Stakeholder Engagement: Manage communication and relationships with schools, guardians, and other stakeholders, ensuring child safety and welfare.
- Program Leadership: Plan, organize, and lead daily programs and activities, coordinating with volunteers.
- Volunteer Coordination: Oversee volunteer activities and schedules to support program execution.
- Administrative Management: Handle administrative tasks, including attendance tracking, reporting, and documentation.
- Facility Oversight: Ensure the cleanliness, maintenance, and organization of the facility.
- Child Welfare and Safety: Implement child safety protocols and participate in relevant meetings.
- Reporting and Feedback: Provide regular updates and feedback to the Advisory Board and other relevant parties.
About You
We are looking for someone with:
- Experience working with children and young people, especially those who have experienced trauma or are at risk of disengaging from education
- Completed or in-progress tertiary education in education, social work, child-care, or a related field (or relevant experience in place of formal qualifications)
- Strong communication, multitasking, organisational, and management skills, including fluency in English
- A current Queensland Driver License
- A Queensland Blue Card or the ability to obtain one before the start of the current school term
- A positive attitude, flexibility and compassion
- A team-oriented mindset with a passion for supporting children and the mission of Mimi's House
