About The Opportunity
Lead the delivery of a landmark greenfield rail project
— oversee the Illabo to Stockinbingal (I2S) construction from the ground up, guiding multidisciplinary teams to deliver safely, collaboratively, and with purpose.
Key Responsibilities May Include
- Lead and manage complex infrastructure projects across multiple technical disciplines.
- Oversee construction delivery from planning to execution, ensuring alignment with scope, budget, schedule, and safety standards.
- Report directly to the I2S Project Director, providing timely updates on physical and financial progress.
- Engage with stakeholders to scope, cost, and implement Inland Rail initiatives.
- Coordinate with consultants and contractors, driving collaboration across diverse workstreams.
- Ensure compliance with IRPL's processes, procedures, and Integrated Management System.
- Monitor project performance, resolve delivery risks, and maintain momentum against key milestones.
- Prepare and manage contract documentation, approvals, and financial forecasts.
- Champion safety, environmental responsibility, and Inland Rail's CARE values throughout the project lifecycle.
- Foster a respectful, inclusive workplace, aligned with Inland Rail's Code of Conduct and strategic goals.
About You
You're a
strategic and inclusive leader
who thrives in complex project environments. You bring strong interpersonal and negotiation skills, enabling effective collaboration with internal teams, contractors, and consultants. You're confident in communicating progress, risks, and forecasts across various mediums, and you value transparency and teamwork.
Additionally, You Should Be Able To Demonstrate
- Degree in civil engineering or equivalent qualifications.
- Proven experience in multi-disciplinary infrastructure delivery, ideally within rail or linear projects.
- Demonstrated experience and knowledge of railway environment with experience and knowledge of track possession windows and track occupancy planning
- A collaborative mindset and a commitment to safety, sustainability, and continuous improvement.
- Commercial acumen and experience in contract negotiation and management.
- High-level communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
- Drivers Licence – Class C
