Job role

We are looking for an additional Customer Service Officer to join our expanding team. We are seeking a passionate person with strong organisational and attention to detail skills, that brings a willingness to learn and positive can-do attitude. While prior financial services or industry experience is helpful, it is not essential, as we provide external education and on-the-job training.

In this role you will assist in the processing and completion of administrative tasks involved with the provision of financial advice. You will be supported by the existing team consisting of a Customer Service Officer, Customer Services Manager and Financial Planners who together will provide mentoring and training.

Key tasks & responsibilities

  • General administrative support to advisers and support staff.
  • File organisation for review meetings.
  • Undertake relevant research on super, pension, investment and insurance products.
  • Updating records for super and investment transactions.
  • Maintaining and updating client data within our CRM system (Xplan).
  • Management of inbound and outbound client correspondence.
  • Prepare paperwork/applications to implement financial planning strategies.
  • Reception-like duties such as arrange client meeting reminders, scanning, mail, phones, greeting clients.
  • Assist with ad hoc projects and other duties as required.
  • Work collaboratively as part of the overall team.

  • Attention to detail and ability to efficiently organise, prioritise and complete tasks.
  • Solid literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Possess exceptional customer service skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to apply learning to new situations.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft suite applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Works well in a team but also shows initiative and confidence to manage tasks alone.
  • Willingness to undertake external training as required
  • Prior experience with Xplan advantageous
