About the role

CBR Qld is seeking a skilled and reliable Commercial Maintenance Carpenter to join our team based in Hervey Bay, Queensland.

This is a full-time, client-facing role where your commercial building experience and carpentry knowledge will be highly valued. Just as important as your technical skills are your communication and relationship-building abilities. As our Maintenance Carpenter, you'll play a key role in delivering high-quality repair and upgrade services while contributing to a positive team culture and strong client partnerships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Performing a variety of carpentry and building maintenance works to a high standard
  • Liaise directly with clients, contractors, suppliers and site supervisors
  • Identifying and addressing any structural or safety issues in a timely manner
  • Maintaining accurate records of all work completed and materials used in mobile job management system
  • Providing excellent customer service and communication with clients
  • Ensuring safety and quality standards are always met

What we're looking for

  • Qualified carpenter with a trade certificate or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar maintenance or handyperson role
  • Strong practical skills and problem-solving abilities
  • Confident with technology (apps for compliance, reporting and workflow management)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Professional, reliable and client-focused
  • Hold a current and unrestricted manual driver's licence and have own suitable vehicle for traveling to site.
  • Hold a general construction induction (Blue/White Card)
  • Eligible and willing to obtain a NDIS Worker (Yellow Card), Working with Children (Blue Card) and Police check.
