The Role
An opportunity has become available for a Refrigeration Airconditioning Technician to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 10 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
- Carry out work requests for corrective and preventative maintenance as per work instructions and/or task
- Liaise with customers to understand corrective and preventative maintenance repair requirements
- Participate in the process of ordering and maintaining stock levels as required
- Provide quality technical skills and knowledge to ensure all work is completed in a timely and cost-effective manner

About you

**To be successful in this position you will require**:

- Australian trade qualification (Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic) or equivalent
- Australian Refrigeration Council Handling Licence
- Restricted Electrical Licence as a minimum
- Driver licence
- The ability to provide a 24-hour maintenance service by participating in on-call roster
- Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella (Chicken Pox), Pertussis (Whooping Cough), Hepatitis B and COVID 19
- Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed

Salary
- Permanent full time
- Base salary ranging from $77 981 - $81 086 per annum

Maintenance Services is responsible for statutory, preventative and reactive maintenance across the health service. Included in the trades are electricians, plumbers, fitters, painters, carpenters, refrigeration technicians and gardeners whose services include, but not limited to electrical work, fire systems, water cooling, plumbing, heating ventilation and air conditioning, bed maintenance, backup power and garden maintenance. Based in Robina.
