The Role
We are looking for an experienced Secretary to join our firm on a full-time or part-time basis. As a float secretary, you will be responsible for providing legal administrative support across a range of practice areas such as Workers Compensation, Insurance Litigation, Workplace Relations and Wills & Estates.

The Opportunity
In this role will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with experienced professionals and further develop your legal secretarial skills working within an energetic and passionate team. The main responsibilities will include:

• Effectively managing and maintaining multiple calendars, monitoring court and client timeframes and providing reminders as necessary
• Preparing files, drafting legal documents, court documents and correspondence
• Filing court documents online in various jurisdictions
• Organising and maintaining digital and physical files
• Arranging meetings, appointments, and coordinating travel arrangements
• Word processing / typing and collating correspondence and other documents
• Billing including time entry, preparation, review and finalising bills

The successful candidate will be a self-starter and won't be afraid to show initiative. You will have excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills, as well as a demonstrated ability to work efficiently as part of a team. Previous experience across several legal disciplines is preferred.
