We are seeking a highly motivated Mechanical Engineer with approximately 5 years of experience to join our client's growing Perth based team.

In this role, you'll collaborate with a tight knit group of experts on high-impact projects, particularly in mineral processing and hydrometallurgical design. You will contribute to equipment selection, feasibility studies, commissioning, and cross-discipline integration - all while growing in a fast-paced, technically excellent environment.

Some of your duties will involve:

  • Develop and deliver mechanical designs for material handling and process plant systems within mineral processing environments.
  • Work on both wet and dry plant operations,covering equipment such as conveyors, crushers, screens, pumps, slurry pipelines, hoppers, and chutes.
  • Support multi-disciplinary teams - coordinating with process, structural, electrical, and civil engineering disciplines.
  • Conduct site inspections, assist with commissioning, and contribute to feasibility studies and detailed engineering.
  • Deliver technical documentation including specifications, datasheets, design drawings, and project reports

Key Qualifications & Traits:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
  • Around 5 years' experience in a mineral processing environment - ideally within an EPCM or engineering consultancy.
  • Demonstrated experience across both greenfield and brownfield project stages, including feasibility and execution.
  • Design experience using S3D, HELIX, Rocky, Autopipe, PSFF, Hammer etc. highly regarded.
  • Project and/or site experience highly regarded.
  • Sound understanding of current codes and standards including Australian and ASME.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a sharp eye for detail.
  • A self-starter mindset - you're proactive, organized, and committed to excellence.
