About the Opportunity

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated HR/ER Consultant, Advisor or Partner to join our small team in a consulting, casual or part-time capacity. In this role, you will:

· Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, becoming a trusted go-to resource for practical, strategic and operational HR solutions.

· Act as an initial point of contact for day-to-day HR, ER and IR advice, managing client queries with confidence, accuracy, and commercial awareness.

· Provide clients with up-to-date guidance on the Fair Work Act, NES, Modern Awards, WHS legislation, discrimination laws, and other employment regulations.

· Analyse people-related data to identify risks, trends, and opportunities, providing actionable recommendations to clients.

· Draft and review employment and HR documentation tailored to client needs, such as contracts, policies, procedures, leader toolkits, letters, scripts, checklists etc.

· Provide hands-on support in the effective use of HR Information Systems such as Employment Hero, maximising system usage.

· Manage sensitive and complex employee relations matters with professionalism, discretion, and evidence-based advice.

· Provide end-to-end recruitment support to clients as needed, including writing position descriptions and job advertisements, shortlisting candidates, and conducting interviews and reference checks.

· Contribute to, and support with, the implementation of client projects by collaborating with key stakeholders.

The role is based in Brisbane, primarily working from home, but successful candidate must have the ability to attend face-to-face meetings with the team or clients. Some local and interstate travel may be required from time to time.

About You

We are looking for someone with:

Essential Criteria

· Tertiary qualification in Human Resource Management, Law, Psychology, or related discipline.

· years of demonstrated HR, ER and IR experience, ideally in a business partnering or a standalone HR role in a small to medium organisation, or in a client consulting capacity.

· Proven ability to provide confident, fact-based advice to leaders, with a strong understanding of risk and commercial implications.

· Ability to work as part of a team but also independently, with strong initiative and organisational skills.

· A valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.

· Experience with HRIS systems such as Employment Hero

Desirable Criteria

· Qualifications in Work Health Safety, Workplace Rehabilitation or Return to Work Coordination

· DiSC accredited, or similar profiling tools.
