This mine site employs more than 400 people and is a key employer within the region and a proud supporter of the community. They are a residential mine that allows you to be home each night. Accommodation support is provided as well as company transport to and from the site operation. The residential location is a family friendly community, with a variety of shops, gyms, and sporting activities as well as primary and high schools.

You will be joining a business at a transformative stage in its growth plan, where your strengths will be utilised on a daily basis and you will be consistently mentored and supported to develop and learn new skills. A strong commitment to innovation and working knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies is imperative.

Reporting to the HR Manager, the HR Advisor or Senior HR Advisor will manage day to day HR activities across Performance Management, ER/IR, Accommodation, Community and Employee Engagement as well as technology roll outs.

As a Senior/HR Advisor, you will come from the Resources or Heavy Industry sectors, with over 7 years experience and site exposure. or be looking for a move into the sector. As an HR Advisor, you will ideally have 2 - 5 years experience gained in blue collar environments with some possible site exposure.

IR/ER experience is essential. 

You will be a strong influencer with the ability to mentor and coach at all levels. The successful candidate will be driven, collaborative and inclusive to fit in with the culture of the existing team and have the ability to build effective interpersonal relationships across the business. 

The role:

Key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

- Managing end to end projects for HR programs and initiatives

- Ensure IR compliance and manage day to day ER processes

- Oversee community partnerships and employee engagement activities 

- Asset and contract management across company owned accommodation and travel services

- Coordinate technology implementation projects within HR  

- Provide general HR advice to internal stakeholders

About You:

- Degree qualified in HR, Business, Employment Law or related discipline

- IR experience

years of experience in a fast paced, diverse HR function

- Sound knowledge of payroll systems

- Highly motivated and excellent attention to detail

- Ability to operate successfully at all levels within the business
