About the role:
As our newest Duty Manager, you will control the day-to-day operations of all staff and fleet at our Cairns Airport location. This will include the coaching of counter employees to ensure that the Customer Service and Sales process is followed, the management of team members in general and the flow of vehicles in the car park and wash. This is a busy role with no two days the same and is critical to the operation of our business
Key duties and responsibilities would include:
Leading and managing the team on shift through sales coaching and mentoring
Marketing Avis Budget products and services through identifying to customer needs, maximising sale opportunities and meeting sales goals set by management.
Ensure that vehicles for rent meet company standards for cleanliness, mechanical/body condition, and roadworthiness
Ensure that returned vehicles are checked for body damage and report where necessary
Working efficiently and effectively in a team environment to maintain a culture of service excellence and accomplishing organisational goals under limited supervision.
Developing and fostering a harmonious team environment through counselling and resolving conflicts and disciplinary issues in accordance with the guidelines in collaboration with the Airport & Operations Managers.
Rostering and scheduling employees matching the needs of the business
Satisfying Net Promoter Score (NPS) and Client Service Incentive (CSI) targets set.
Participating in recruitment and selection of new staff where required
What we are looking for:
Previous experience in supervisory or leadership role with sound coaching and mentoring skills
Demonstrated understanding and use of Customer Service and Sales techniques and processes
Excellent verbal and written skills
Knowledge of Workplace Health and Safety
A Full Drivers' license is required and the flexibility to work to a rotating roster
This is a Full-Time role and requires applicants to be able to work 38 hours per week across our operating hours
