Be part of Queensland's rail transformation.
As our state prepares for a decade of unprecedented growth and game-changing infrastructure ahead of the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games, the Rail Infrastructure Delivery Office (RIDO) is leading the charge. With billions invested in major rail projects like Logan and Gold Coast Faster Rail, Beerburrum to Nambour Rail Upgrade, and New Albion Station, RIDO is shaping the future of how Queensland moves. Join us as a Human Resources Officer and play a key role in supporting the people behind this transformation - helping build the workforce that will deliver a world-class rail network for generations to come.
Some of your responsibilities will include:
• Initial point of contact for HR enquiries, managing the central HR inbox, ensuring oversight of tasks and activities to ensure timely and accurate responses.
• Working closely with team members and branch administrative staff to provide services on a wide range of HR activities, including recruitment and selection processes, onboarding, and establishment management.
• Producing timely and accurate workforce reports that provide managers with insightful data for proactive and effective management of their teams.
• Maintaining HR management and records systems, updating reporting dashboards (e.g. PowerBI), effectively using MSOffice365, and navigating a variety of HRIS (e.g. SpringBoard, SAP, Aurion) to facilitate efficient workforce administration.
• Identify, support and coordinate HR initiatives and projects that deliver business improvement.
Mandatory qualifications and conditions:
• Due to this role having access to sensitive data, a criminal history check will be undertaken prior to appointment to the role.
• Experience in a generalist human resources or an administrative role with HR functions would be highly regarded.
Requirements of the role:
• Ability to provide clear advice and guidance on a broad range of HR matters, applying an understanding of HR legislation, policies and procedures and a best practice mindset.
• Ability to make considered decisions that demonstrate and promote consistency across the Rail division, utilising sound judgment for when to escalate issues.
• Experience in building and sustaining relationships to enable the collaborative delivery of customer focused outcomes.
• Pursue opportunities for continuous learning and development to build professional knowledge and understanding of the business.
• Flexible working options are available, with a standard level of service to be maintained by the team on-site and during business hours.
