About the role

Curtin University is seeking a Senior Integration Developer to join our Digital & Technology Solutions team for a strategic project funded by the Digital Steering Committee. This is a 7-month full-time opportunity, commencing January 2026, focused on delivering integration solutions for the Global Admissions StudyLink Project. You will provide technical leadership, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to the development and maintenance of critical university systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, test, and document integration solutions based on business needs and industry standards.
  • Lead development efforts and provide technical guidance for complex integration projects, working closely with Solution Architects and other stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with agile, cross-functional teams (Vendor, Product Owner/Manager, Business Stakeholders, Business Analysts, Tester, etc.) to deliver high-quality products and solutions.
  • Mentor and support team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence.
  • Participate in Level 3 hypercare support of delivered solutions.
  • Adhere to Curtin's best practices in code quality, standards, and non-functional requirements such as accessibility, security, and performance.

Selection Criteria:

  • A relevant degree with extensive experience in software/integration development, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Demonstrated technical leadership in delivering complex development projects, ideally within an Agile environment.
  • Deep technical knowledge of integration methodologies, programming languages (AWS skillset is essential), and best practices.
  • Proven ability to mentor, train, and guide staff in adopting standards, tools, and techniques.
  • Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to present options and rationale for technical decisions.

Role Requirements:

  1. As this is a fixed term role, applicants must obtain current Australian working rights that match the tenure of the role.
  2. Applicants must be willing to undertake a National Police Clearance, and background, integrity, and reference checks to Curtin's satisfaction.
  3. Please note we do offer hybrid working arrangements however applicants must be able to work on-site at Curtin's Bentley campus.
