Are you detail-driven with a passion for regulatory excellence and continuous improvement? We're looking for a Senior Compliance Engineer to lead the development and enhancement of Horizon Power's network safety frameworks and compliance systems. This is your opportunity to influence how we manage risk, performance, and regulatory relationships across our vast and diverse network.

You'll be the key liaison with Building & Energy (B&E), ensuring our operations meet regulatory requirements while supporting internal teams to deliver safe, effective, and efficient asset management practices.

Your New Role Will

  • Lead the development and continuous improvement of network safety compliance frameworks, policies, and procedures, including the Electricity Network Safety Management System (ENSMS).
  • Collaborate across regional operations, system operations, safety, and remote communities to embed fit-for-purpose compliance processes and coordinate responses to regulator requests on incidents, investigations, and performance.
  • Prepare and deliver regulatory reports, including quarterly and annual network safety performance reports and executive updates.
  • Facilitate internal and external audits and reviews of Horizon Power's compliance systems, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor and advise on changes to network safety regulations, building strong relationships with stakeholders such as Building & Energy, consultants, contractors, and auditors.

What You'll Bring
We're looking for a seasoned professional with deep expertise in asset management and regulatory compliance within the energy sector.

  • Formal qualifications in engineering, asset management, or a related field.
  • Experience in a power utility or asset-intensive industry.
  • Advanced understanding of WA's power industry regulations.
  • Strong knowledge of safety management systems and asset management frameworks.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and technical writing skills.
