JW Recruitment is partnering with a council located in Melbourne's inner-east to appoint an experienced Risk & Assurance Administration Officer on an initial temporary contract through to late February.

This role provides high-level administrative, governance and risk system support across the organisation, contributing to effective risk management, business continuity planning, and committee governance.


Key Responsibilities

Committee & Governance Support

• Prepare accurate agendas, minutes and reports for the Audit & Risk Committee and Executive Risk Committee

• Coordinate meeting documentation and ensure committees operate efficiently

Risk & Assurance Administration

• Maintain the risk management system, update data, monitor overdue actions and produce reports

• Support the delivery and maintenance of Business Continuity Management plans, including coordination of test exercises

• Respond to incident and claims management requests from internal stakeholders

Projects & Process Improvement

• Assist with updating Risk & Assurance intranet content, editing framework documents and developing templates and flowcharts

• Support the ongoing improvement of work systems that meet customer service, financial and legislative requirements


About You


• Tertiary qualification in office administration, business or a related field

• Strong administrative and systems capability, with high attention to detail

• Experience in governance support, claims administration, risk or assurance functions

• Skilled in planning, organisation and meeting strict deadlines

• Excellent written communication and customer service approach

• Ability to build effective working relationships and work collaboratively

• Understanding of risk management, internal audit and compliance frameworks
