HR/IR Graduate Consultant (Part-Time, Hybrid) - Join Our Team at Harrisons

Are you an early-career HR/IR professional looking to grow your skills in a supportive and dynamic consulting environment? Harrisons is seeking a motivated HR/IR Graduate with a few years' experience to join our East Brisbane office on a part-time basis (approx. 20 hours per week).

This is a 3-month contract to cover leave, with the potential to go permanent for the right person. Perfect if you're looking for flexible hours - including school hours - while gaining exposure to a wide variety of HR consulting work.

About the Role

In this role, you'll work alongside our experienced team of consultants, supporting delivery of HR and workplace relations services to clients across all sectors and sizes. You'll be in the office Mondays and Wednesdays, with hybrid flexibility for other hours.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Advising on modern awards, the Fair Work Act, and performance management issues.
  • Drafting employment documents including contracts, letters, and workplace policies.
  • Facilitating surveys - engagement, 360-degree feedback, DiSC profiling.
  • Supporting the MD/Principal Consultant with strategic client projects such as restructures and workplace investigations.
  • Helping juggle multiple priorities across clients in a fast-paced environment.

What We're Looking For

We'd love to hear from you if you are:

  • A graduate in HR/IR (with a few years' practical experience).
  • Strong in critical thinking, attention to detail, and communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • Passionate about workplace relations and ready to get stuck into award interpretation and client advice.
  • Flexible, adaptable, and self-sufficient - we're a small business, so you'll need to roll up your sleeves (and yes, sometimes reboot your own laptop and answer the phone :) ).
  • Someone who enjoys working in a collaborative, supportive team while taking initiative.
