With a focus on the Trade Contractor & Specifier market in Sydney and NSW, you will get to use your field sales and business development skills to identify and develop sales with new and existing clients, working together with a number of key Distributors.
You will help drive sales across our wide range of timber flooring products to meet monthly, quarterly and annual sales budgets, with support from our National Sales Manager and internal sales support team which is based in Melbourne.
Previous experience with timber flooring products is not necessary but previous experience in technical sales or building products would be an advantage. Full product training will be provided and you will need to enjoy soaking up lots of product information fast.
Role overview:
- Provide high level service and support to existing client base
- Use your phone sales skills to gain appointments for on-site presentations and product demonstrations to existing and potential new customers
- Use our CRM system to ensure accurate reporting & management of all customer information
- Develop and implement sales strategies to ensure sales targets & KPO's are achieved
- Assist to resolve customer product issues
Acquiring new customers is a key to our strategy. Reporting to our Sales Manager in Melbourne, you will work to build sales pipelines, identify opportunities and win new business. Of equal importance is maintaining existing business and ensuring that we continually deliver high levels of customer service.
Key qualities required:
- Minimum 5 years field sales experience
- Ability to build rapport with all customer types - especially flooring trades people
- Reliability & organisational skills
- Ability to work independently
- 'Sales hunter' mentality
- Ability to learn a proven sales methodology
Skills required:
- Proven experience and success in on-road field sales
- High-level sales skills
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
- High level verbal and written communication skills
- Well developed organisation and time management skills
- Experience with working with CRM systems
- Ability to make compelling presentations to customers including trades people
- knowledge of timber products is an advantage but is not essential
