Do you have experience in the home loan industry? Whilst it is preferred it's not essential. Our main goal with this role is to meet and exceed targets in settling home loans and we'll give you all the tools and training necessary to be able to achieve this.

A day in the life of a Settlements Officer:

  • Receiving and reviewing new applications from the credit team
  • Ensuring all information is correct before transferring that data into our core banking system
  • Instructing our solicitors to issue home loan documents to our borrowers
  • Ensuring those documents are issued in a timely manner
  • Contacting our mortgage brokers to follow up on return of loan documents and any items required in order to achieve settlement
  • Maintaining close relationships with our mortgage brokers and solicitors to ensure that settlements are booked and take place as soon as possible
  • Upon settlement you will set up direct debit repayments and issue settlement letters to borrowers on their new loan account
  • Welcome calls are made to our borrowers and assistance provided to set up online access as required
  • For construction loans you will also be responsible for managing these until construction is complete which includes ordering valuations and processing payments to builders when requested

What you will bring to the role

This is a fast paced environment where attention to detail is necessary and a focus on achieving a fast turn around from approval to settlement is a must. Exceptional phone and email manner is a must.
