About Levande
At Levande, we're reimagining what retirement living can be: vibrant, connected communities where people truly live well every day. With 59 villages across Australia and an exciting pipeline of new developments, we're shaping a future where lifestyle, connection and peace of mind come together.
About the Role
We're seeking an experienced and strategic State Operations Manager (Victoria) to lead the operational performance, resident experience and team success of our Victorian portfolio.
Based in Metro Melbourne and reporting to the Chief Operations Officer, you'll oversee the day-to-day and strategic operations of multiple villages: driving excellence across service delivery, compliance, safety, financial performance and people leadership.
You'll manage a large, geographically distributed team of Area Managers, Village Managers and Project Leads, ensuring each community delivers on Levande's "Everyday Exceptional" promise.
Working collaboratively with national and state peers, you'll also play a key role in legislative change, industry representation and operational transformation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, coach and empower operational leaders across Victoria to deliver exceptional service and performance outcomes.
- Oversee the operational, financial and compliance performance of all villages in the state.
- Drive continuous improvement and best-practice systems to enhance resident satisfaction and operational efficiency.
- Partner with functional leaders in Sales, Marketing, Development, and Wellbeing to deliver integrated business outcomes.
- Represent Levande with external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies and industry associations.
- Foster a strong culture of care, safety, excellence, and accountability across all teams.
About You
You're a strategic, commercially astute, and people-focused leader who thrives in a dynamic, service-oriented environment. You balance operational rigour with empathy and connection, ensuring your teams and residents feel supported, empowered, and engaged.
You'll bring:
- 10+ years' experience leading large-scale, multi-site operations (100+ employees).
- Strong financial management and analytical capability, budgeting, forecasting and performance reporting.
- Proven ability to drive cultural change and continuous improvement.
- Expertise in navigating complex risk, compliance, and safety frameworks.
- Exceptional communication, stakeholder management and influencing skills.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office and operational data systems.
- Experience in retirement living, property, hospitality, or multi-site service environments (highly regarded).
- Postgraduate qualifications in Business, Strategy or Project Management (advantageous).
Why Join Levande
- Lead a high-impact, state-wide leadership portfolio.
- Drive innovation in a sector that genuinely makes a difference.
- Collaborative, values-driven culture grounded in care, trust, and excellence.
- Competitive remuneration and flexible working arrangements.
