Join our team as a Café Supervisor and help us build something special at the heart of Banksia Lodge Broulee.

Position Available: Commencing Mid-September

Café Supervisor – Part time, commencing at 17 hrs/week (between 3-6hrs per day)

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Café Supervisor to lead the daily operations of our brand-new in-house café, delivering a professional and warm café experience for residents, families, and staff in a residential aged care setting.

This role offers a unique opportunity to combine your hospitality expertise with purpose-driven work that enriches the lives of older people.

What You'll Do

Café Operations:


• Supervise and support the day-to-day operation of the café


• Manage stock selection, pricing, ordering, and inventory


• Ensure food safety, hygiene, and high-quality presentation


• Operate and monitor POS and EFT systems


• Liaise with management to continuously improve café offerings

Staff Supervision:


• Oversee and support café staff to maintain service excellence


• Manage rosters and daily task completion


• Provide on-the-job training, guidance, and performance monitoring


• Support a positive, respectful team culture

What We're Looking For:

Essential:


• Barista certification


• Minimum 2 years' experience in a busy, modern café environment, including staff supervision


• Knowledge of food safety, hygiene practices, POS systems, and café equipment


• Strong leadership, communication, and customer service skills


• Empathy, patience, and a friendly nature
