We are growing and now seeking a self-motivated, dynamic Assistant Production Manager to join our team at our Wattleup Depot. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy problem-solving and want to be part of a business that values its people - this is the role for you

About the Role

As the Assistant Production Manager, you'll play a key role in supporting our Modifications Team through every stage of the modification process — from concept and project review through to completion. This is a hands-on, diverse role where no two days are the same.

You'll collaborate closely with our workshop, customers, and management team to ensure our container modification projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Draft clear and concise workshop drawings for workshop and customers for all modification projects.
  • Create conceptual drawings in Sketchup for quoting and marketing purposes.
  • Maintain customer contact throughout build phase through to completion.
  • Assist with estimating and quoting of fabrication works.
  • Work with customers to design and develop best-fit solutions.
  • Monitoring and auditing of workshop processes.
  • Assist in preparing and maintaining project documentation, drawings, estimates and materials.
  • Procurement of materials and consumables for modifications projects and the Workshop.
  • Oversee stock control and inventory management for the workshop.

Experience Required:

  • Previous experience in fabrication or container modifications.
  • General understanding of project or mining specifications.
  • Experience with stock control and purchasing.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong time management and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills (oral & written) including the ability to establish effective working relationships with a variety of people at different levels both internally and externally.
  • Proficient computer skills including CRM packages, Job Costing, Monday, Teams, Excel, Outlook and drawing software such as SketchUp or CAD.
  • Manual Driver's License required.

Experience desirable:

  • Workshop administration, supervision or management experience.
  • Experience in estimating and quoting.
  • Interest or experience in preparing social media content (Facebook/LinkedIn/Instagram).
  • Experience and skill in drawing programs ie Sketchup or CAD.
