Role Description

This is initially a 5month contract on a 8/6 roster. The Senior Mining Engineer will be responsible for mine planning, overseeing mining operations, and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations. Day-to-day tasks include conducting site inspections, analyzing geological data, developing mining strategies, and working closely with other engineers and project managers. The role also involves continuous improvement of mining processes and operations.

Qualifications

  • Expertise in Mine Planning and Mining Engineering
  • Strong Analytical Skills
  • Competent user of Vulcan, Deswik, Spry and 3d dig
  • Experience in Coal and Coal Mining
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage remote work effectively
  • Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or related field
  • Relevant professional certifications and memberships are a plus
  • Must be eligible to live and work in Australia to apply

The salary package offered for this position will be comparative to skills and experience of the candidate
