Brisbane CBD | Plaintiff Law | Flexibility + meaningful career progression

Are you a passionate personal injury lawyer looking to take the next step into complex, meaningful work? This is a rare opportunity to specialise in medical negligence with a highly respected plaintiff practice based in the Brisbane CBD.

Joining a high-performing Medical Law team, you'll work closely with senior practitioners on matters involving life-changing injuries arising from medical negligence. This role offers genuine career progression, the chance to develop specialist expertise, and the ability to make a profound impact on the lives of clients seeking justice.

The Opportunity

As an Associate or Senior Associate, you will:

  • Assess liability and risk across medical negligence matters and drive files toward resolution.
  • Provide strategic legal advice and representation, ensuring clients receive maximum compensation.
  • Maintain strong client relationships through clear, compassionate communication and expectation management.
  • Prepare detailed legal documentation and manage your own file load with commercial and fiscal awareness.

Flexible working arrangements will be considered for the right candidate.

What You'll Bring

To thrive in this role, you will have:

  • A Bachelor of Laws and current practising certificate.
  • Experience in personal injury litigation - medical negligence experience is highly desirable but not essential.
  • Familiarity with Queensland legislation, including PIPA and the UCPR - require a solid understanding of evidence and causation.
  • Strong analytical skills, a curious mindset and the confidence to challenge and think independently.
  • A collaborative, client-centred approach.
  • A desire to contribute positively to team culture.

Why This Role?

You'll be joining a purpose-driven plaintiff practice known for standing up for everyday Australians. You'll work with authentic, supportive colleagues and be part of a culture built on compassion, connection, and excellence. The environment encourages growth, ongoing learning, and the chance to be challenged professionally while making a genuine impact.

If you're ready to specialise, stretch your skills, and be part of a team that's relentless in its pursuit of justice, we'd love to hear from you.
