Pay: $27-$35 per hour + superannuation (above award considered based on experience)

Dench Café is a proudly independent, artisan bakery and café in the heart of Fitzroy North, serving the local community since 2005. We're known for our handcrafted organic sourdough, seasonal pastries, quality coffee, and friendly, relaxed vibe.

The Role

We're looking for a skilled and passionate barista to join our team full-time. You'll be working in a supportive environment with a focus on quality, consistency, and great customer experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare high-quality espresso and filter coffee with consistency

Engage warmly with regulars and new customers alike

Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the barista and café areas

Collaborate with the front-of-house and kitchen teams to ensure smooth service

Assist with opening and closing duties as needed

What We're Looking For

Minimum 1–2 years' experience as a barista in a fast-paced café

Confident operating professional espresso equipment and grinders

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented

Latte art skills and filter brewing experience a plus

Full working rights in Australia (this is a full-time, permanent role)

Pay & Conditions

Higher rates available depending on experience and skills

Weekend and public holiday penalties apply as per the Award
