After an exciting refurbishment North Point Brighton & the newly opened Beach House Brighton is expanding its operation and is looking for an experienced Sous Chef & Chef De Partie to join our team.

North Point is located at the beach end of North Road in Brighton overlooking the bay. North Point is a premium 160 seat beach front cafe that is open for breakfast & lunch.

Beach House Brighton is our newly opened beachfront cafe located metres away from the iconic Brighton Beach Bathing Boxes. Beach House is an iconic cafe with unmatched bay and city views serving breakfast and lunch on the Brighton foreshore.

Applicant must be professional and reliable with a passion for food and a positive team attitude.

Excellent communication skills and good english is essential.

You will be required to assist the Head Chef with the day to day operations of the kitchen, show leadership, attention to detail, strong customer service, and high standard of cleanliness and presentation. You must be able to work efficiently & operate well under pressure in a team environment.

This is an opportunity to develop your skills in the kitchen. We require at least two years experience in high volume kitchen along with a Certificate III or higher qualification in Commercial Cookery. Weekend availability is required.

We are offering an excellent opportunity to work with a great team with plenty of hours on offer. Owners are long term successful owner operators having just signed long term leases at both venues. Family friendly culture and fun environment.

Responsibilities

  • Planning and preparing meals and food items.
  • Order food supplies in consultation with Chef Manager
  • Ensure safe and hygienic storage, handling, and preparation of food and drinks
  • Ensuring cooking methods, portions and recipes are followed
  • Maintaining a clean and well-presented kitchen compliant with food safety standards;
  • Ability to work independently and autonomously and work as part of a team to create a safe and friendly work environment.
  • Have a positive and can-do attitude.
