Join our vibrant team at Next Two Pty Ltd, where we specialize in crafting delightful Asian pastries, cookies doughts and various filled donuts. As a Pastrycook, you will play a crucial role in creating a wide variety of traditional and innovative treats. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing and baking a diverse range of Asian pastries, including mooncakes, buns, tarts, cookies doughts and donuts.
  • Mixing and preparing doughs, fillings, and glazes according to established recipes.
  • Ensuring the quality and consistency of all pastry products.
  • Decorating and presenting pastries in an appealing manner.
  • Managing ingredient inventory and ensuring proper storage.
  • Maintaining a clean and organised work environment, adhering to food safety standards.
  • Operating and maintaining baking equipment, including ovens, mixers, and other tools.
  • Collaborating with other team members to meet production targets.
  • Contributing to the development of new pastry recipes and menu items.
  • Adapting to seasonal changes and special event pastry needs.
  • Following all Australian food safety regulations.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Proven experience as a Pastrycook, ideally within an Asian bakery or similar environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Asian pastry ingredients and techniques.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production setting.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
  • Proficiency in using standard baking equipment and tools.
  • Strong understanding of food hygiene and safety practices, including HACCP principles
  • Ability to follow recipes accurately and consistently.
  • Creative flair for pastry decoration and presentation.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to manage time effectively.
  • Ability to work early mornings.
