ABOUT THE ROLE

Reporting to the Project Manager you will be responsible for providing accurate and efficient administration and project support.

Your duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Raise, source, place, and compile purchase orders / subcontract agreements.
  • Sourcing project costs and negotiating with suppliers and contractors.
  • Placing orders based on the BOQ, keeping in line with project budgets.
  • Administration support to project management team as required.
  • Creation of site packs including all OH&S documentation

  • Work closely with the site supervisor to organize deliveries and schedule works on site.

  • Document Management

  • Assist with general reception duties answering phones and greeting clients.
  • Assist in organizing freight for required inward and outward goods.

General Requirements:

  • Always maintain strict confidentiality
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures relevant to the position.
  • Ensure Project Manager or Company Directors are made aware of any urgent issues.
  • Provide professional, friendly, and helpful service to internal and external customers.
  • Participate in site meetings as required.
  • Provide general assistance to the Project Management Team
  • Effective problem solving and a high level of initiative.
  • A proactive, analytical, and logical attitude with a strong customer service focus.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage time frames to achieve deadlines.
  • Other office and admin duties as required.
  • Punctuality

Skills

  • An understanding of the residential and commercial building processes
  • Ability to read and understand plans and construction documents.
  • Well-developed administrative skills, effective time management and a strong customer service focus
  • Ability to learn and adapt to new software systems.

Remuneration

  • Negotiable upon experience
