About the Role

We're seeking a
Junior Estimator
to join our dynamic team in Greensborough.

Reporting to the Estimating & Operations Manager, you'll assist in pricing projects, preparing tenders, and providing key administrative and project coordination support to ensure the smooth operation of our estimating function.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with the accurate pricing of tenders and projects
• Source, compare, and negotiate supplier and subcontractor quotes.
• Prepare and distribute tender review documentation.
• Maintain and update tender files, ensuring all costs are accounted for.
• Liaise with project managers to identify and document variations between tender and construction phases.
• Develop strong relationships with suppliers to ensure competitive pricing.
• Support general estimating administration, including document management, filing, and data entry.
• Participate in pre- and post-construction meetings as required.
• Provide professional and friendly service to internal and external stakeholders.

Skills & Attributes

• Strong attention to detail and ability to work with numerical data.
• Proactive and analytical with a logical approach to problem-solving.
• Confident communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn new software systems quickly.
• Team-oriented with a strong customer service focus.

Qualifications & Experience

• Completion of VCE (minimum requirement).
• Exposure or interest in the construction industry.
• Ability to read and interpret plans and construction drawings.
• Basic knowledge in construction estimating
• Experience in using Bluebeam and Cost X software (preferred but not essential).
• Driver license
