General Manager- Sales and Marketing

The General Manager – Sales & Marketing is responsible for driving Hi-Tec Oils' national sales growth and brand presence across Australia. This role provides strategic leadership across sales, marketing, and customer engagement, ensuring alignment between business objectives, customer expectations, and market opportunities.
As Hi-Tec Oils continues its growth journey, the GM – Sales & Marketing will play a pivotal role in building modern sales processes, marketing systems, and team capability, creating the structure required to support long-term, sustainable growth.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Leadership
- Develop and execute the national sales strategy in line with company objectives.
- Lead and mentor a team of State Sales Managers and Representatives to achieve revenue targets.
- Drive new business acquisition while strengthening relationships with key distributors, resellers, and end-users.
- Introduce structured sales processes, reporting systems, and performance frameworks to lift accountability and results.
Marketing & Brand
- Oversee marketing strategy, brand positioning, and promotional activities across all channels.
- Partner with product, operations, and technical teams to support new product launches.
- Build capability in digital marketing, campaigns, and customer insights to support business growth.
- Strengthen Hi-Tec Oils' presence in the automotive and industrial sectors.
Commercial & Strategic Accountability
- Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and P&L management at a national level.
- Monitor sales performance, margins, and market share, providing insights to the executive team.
- Identify opportunities to expand into new markets, segments, or distribution channels.
- Ensure alignment between sales, marketing, and supply chain planning.
Leadership & People Development
- Foster a high-performance culture across sales and marketing teams.
- Set clear expectations, coach regularly, and drive accountability.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and development of team members.
- Champion collaboration between sales, marketing, and other business functions.
Skills & Requirements
- 8+ years in senior sales/marketing leadership, ideally within automotive, industrial, or FMCG sectors.
- Demonstrated success in delivering commercial results and building scalable systems and processes.
- Strong leadership and people development skills with experience managing multi-state teams.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to translate plans into execution.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement, influencing, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM/ERP systems.
Success Measures

- ROI from marketing campaigns and new customer acquisition.
Qualifications
- Tertiary qualifications in Business, Marketing, or a related field (desirable).
- Current driver's licence.
