We're looking for a Senior Tax Accountant to join us and take the lead on reviewing returns. This isn't a role for juniors or people without the required experience. You must have real Australian public practice experience, with minimum 5 years in the trenches. If you know your way around company, trust, individual, and SMSF returns, and you're sick of the old-school ways, read on.

What you'll be doing:

  • Reviewing tax returns and BAS.
  • Giving constructive feedback that helps the team learn & grow.
  • Making sure we tick all the boxes with the ATO and TPB (because nobody wants a please explain letter and we take this stuff seriously, but we'll make it painless).
  • Ensuring compliance with internal policies and procedures (and helping to shape them if you want).
  • Playing a key role in shaping the next generation of tax professionals.

What you'll need:

  • Minimum 5 years Australian public practice experience (non-negotiable).
  • Strong knowledge of income tax, BAS, and compliance.
  • Hands-on with Xero and the Xero Suite (Practice Manager, Workpapers, Xero Tax).
  • Tax Agent licence desirable (or eligibility).
  • Ability to explain the "why" and "how," not just tick boxes.
