Experienced Bakery Manager

Fresh & Save Australia is a family owned & operated business.

We are a warehouse format supermarket, stocking an adequate range of grocery goods to satisfy 95% of Australian consumer's needs. We have an extensive fresh food offer with onsite butchers in all stores and full scratch bakeries in our larger stores.

Fresh & Save is a limited range, no frills format that aims to deliver significant savings to our customers for a full basket versus our competitors, while still stocking all the brands Aussie's know & love.

Fresh & Save aims to be the supermarket of choice & dominant retailer in our catchments.

Base Salary $82, Super - 45 hours (Sunday-Thursday)

Lead a team that creates the fresh daily experience our customers come back for  Fresh & Save Richlands feature a large, full production Bakery. Producing some bread products from scratch, along with cake and a wide range of other sweet products.

A successful candidate will demonstrate the following key attributes;

· years of Bakery Management experience (supermarket or food retail highly regarded)

· Trade Qualification beneficial, but not required

· Strong background in team leadership, including training, coaching, and performance follow-up

· Solid understanding of inventory control and waste/shrink minimisation

· Confident in financial performance monitoring – budget vs. actuals, wage control, and gross profit awareness.

· Experience with ordering and supplier management across multiple vendors

· Comfortable conducting or overseeing stocktakes and maintaining accurate records

· Computer literate – POS systems, rosters, Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.)

· Physically capable and enjoys being hands-on within the department

· Strong planning and organisational skills – able to prioritise and manage workflow

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills across staff, customers, and senior leadership

· Adopts a "Service First" approach and leads by example on customer experience

· Positive, dependable, and solutions-focused when challenges arise

· Demonstrates a high attention to detail and commitment to department standards

· Enjoys working collaboratively and fosters a positive, team-oriented culture

· Ability to work autonomously as required.

· Understands the importance of following Food Safety & WHO&S programs.
