The Infants' Home Child and Family Services is a leading provider of high-quality early childhood education and care, allied health and early intervention services for children and families. For over 150 years, the key focus of our work has been supporting families and children experiencing hardship or vulnerabilities to make a more positive future. We provide integrated early childhood services through three Early Care and Education Centres, all rated 'Exceeding the National Quality Standard', plus Family Day Care.

About the role

As a Diploma-trained Early Childhood Educator, you will be responsible for creating a safe and supportive environment for children, including acting as the responsible person when required. Collaborating as part of a team, you will contribute to children's wellbeing, relationships, and learning through intentional teaching, meaningful partnerships, and ongoing reflection. You will also assist in delivering high-quality programs that meet legislative standards and embrace contemporary approaches, tailored to the strengths and interests of children, families, and staff.

Essential Criteria

  • ACECQA approved early childhood diploma qualification, or equivalent.
  • Completion of an approved child protection training unit/course - CHCPRT001 or CHCPRT025.
  • Food Handler Basics Certificate.
  • Current First Aid Certificate – HLTAID012.
  • Experience working with children birth to school age, working in a team and within an Early Childhood Education and Care Centre.
  • Sound understanding of holistic approaches in working with children.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Interest in broadening skills and professional development.
  • Knowledge of the National Quality Framework.
  • Knowledge of social justice and inclusion and the implementation within Early Childhood and Education Care settings.
