About The Role
As a Technical Lead at Australian Retirement Trust, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering high-quality technology solutions that support our strategic goals. You'll lead the design and development of platforms, champion best practices, and foster a culture of innovation and technical excellence. This role is ideal for a visionary technologist who thrives on collaboration, mentorship, and driving continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide thought leadership on technology strategy, platform vision, and design concepts.
  • Lead solution design activities ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture and governance standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, vendors, and stakeholders to deliver scalable and sustainable solutions.
  • Promote and apply best practices in DevOps, observability, and cloud enablement across platforms.
  • Maintain awareness of emerging technologies and contribute to the platform roadmap.
  • Configure and test platform-specific software versions, reporting outcomes and identifying improvements.
  • Evaluate major design options, conduct impact analysis, and manage associated risks.
  • Mentor technical team members, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous learning.

You are a seasoned technical leader with deep expertise in designing and implementing enterprise-grade solutions. You bring a strong background in architecture, development, and quality assurance, and are passionate about leveraging modern technologies to drive business outcomes. Your ability to lead, influence, and innovate makes you a trusted advisor and a catalyst for change.

Key Skills And Experience

  • Expert-level experience in Behaviour Driven Development (BDD) frameworks.
  • Proven experience in cloud enablement and infrastructure automation using tools like Terraform and Ansible.
  • Strong understanding of DevOps best practices and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Hands-on experience with observability tools and OpenTelemetry.
  • Proficiency in Python and Java, with experience in performance testing tools such as JMeter and LoadRunner.
  • Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing organisational quality assurance guardrails.
  • Quality Assurance experience leveraging AI-enabled technologies.
  • Extensive experience in Agile delivery methodologies (SAFe, SCRUM) and solution architecture within large corporate environments.
