With offices in Perth, Brisbane, Toronto, Manila & Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania, ECG have the capability to design and deliver on complex projects, from early study work to commissioning and handover, drawing on the expertise of senior ECG personnel who have worked together for 30 + years.

We require a Lead Electrical Engineer to join our Brisbane based design team, now led by Mark Lawson, to drive & coordinate design on a range of mineral processing related Electrical Projects ranging from detail design and technical reports to client, to full blown studies on remote mining plant design and upgrade.

Key Requirements

  • Have a solid understanding of technical (E, I&C) principles relating to the large industrial & complex operational assets that our clients own and operate
  • The ability to write technical documentation and communicate discipline requirements to other members of the project team
  • Relevant Electrical engineering degree or equivalent qualification
  • Experience working in a specialized electrical team, on front end greenfield and brownfield development projects with complex electrical scope
  • LV design experience (PowerCAD proficient, LV MCC design, protection & co-ordination studies)
  • Development of schematic designs
  • Understand the project development process for MMM juniors/mid-tiers
  • Provide specialized advice and guidance to clients

The role will be Brisbane based, working with an established design team, however there may be occasional input on the studies and reports of our Toronto office, as well as the coordination of works from our engineering office in Manila.

To be considered for the role of Lead Electrical Engineer you need solid design experience on complex high value electrical projects, with an understanding of the differences between local site based projects, and the realities of offshore remote mining plant construction.
