Casual Support Worker – Brassall & Spring Mountain

Job Type: Casual

Salary: $34.44 per hour (casual loading included, plus applicable penalty rates)

Shift Timing:

  • Brassall: 8 AM – 4 PM (Rotating Roster, Monday to Friday except Thursday);
  • split shifts: 8 AM – 10 AM & 1 PM – 4 PM.
  • Spring Mountain: 24/7 support (Rotating Roster, including sleepovers)

Work Location: In-person (Brassall andSpring Mountain – both locations must be covered)

Hours: Combine shifts across both locations to reach 20+ hours/week

Important: Availability for shifts at both Brassall and Spring Mountain is essential. Applicants must be able to work across both locations to be considered for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist clients with personal care and daily living activities
  • Provide domestic support, including meal preparation
  • Transport clients to appointments and activities (physiotherapy, hydrotherapy, community access)
  • Build rapport and foster positive client relationships
  • Support mobility needs, including wheelchair handling (preferred but not mandatory)
  • Deliver specialised care for participants with cerebral palsy and fall risk, including fall prevention and oedema management.

Requirements:

  • Valid driver's license and own transport (mileage reimbursement available)
  • Prior experience in personal care and community support highly valued
  • Empathetic, patient, proactive, and committed to delivering high-quality care

Mandatory Certifications & Clearances:

  • NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)
  • Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
  • NDIS Orientation Module
  • First Aid & CPR (preferred but not required)
  • Current Driver's Licence (mandatory)
  • Own reliable transport with full comprehensive insurance and current registration (mandatory)

Essential Qualifications:

  • Certificate III in Disability, Individual Support, or related field
  • Experience providing in-home and community access support to children and adults

Please note: both locations are mandatory to maintain this role.
