About the Role

We currently have a casual position available for a male Disability Support Worker, aged 20-35 years old to support our NDIS participants with in-home/personal care and social & community access.

In recruiting our newest team member, we'll be looking for reliability, caring, and passionate attributes, along with those looking for personal and career growth. Having a Certificate 3 and/or 4 in Individual Support and personal care and hoist experience is preferred, but not essential. Applicants must be prepared to carry out personal care tasks.

Job Description

In meeting our participants' requests, we have particular shifts available for a suitable male support worker, residing in Brisbane Northside and willing to work weekdays, weeknights and weekends (Saturday and/or Sunday on a rotating roster). The successful applicant/s will be willing to travel to Northern suburbs in particular Caboolture and Redcliffe Peninsula and surrounding suburbs to support participants. Experience as a support worker is preferred but not essential. Good communication skills are essential.

Immediate start for the right candidate pending current First Aid & CPR training and NDIS Compliance modules are completed and current and all other compliance is current and in place.

Minimum Requirements

  • Good communication skills are essential

  • Good computer skills are required for completing necessary client case notes and employee forms

  • Must be willing to carry out personal care duties for participant

  • Have your own reliable vehicle

  • Driver's Licence

  • Comprehensive Motor Vehicle Insurance

  • First Aid Certificate (or willing to complete prior to commencement of employment)

  • Assist with Medication Certificate (or willing to complete prior to commencing employment)

  • COVID-19 Vaccination Certificate (not essential, but some participants hold this preference)

  • Working with Children Card (Paid Blue Card) – Must be Paid - Essential

  • National Police Check

  • NDIS Worker Orientation Module (or willing to complete prior to commencing

    employment)
