We are seeking a reliable, mature, and compassionate female Support Worker (30+ years) to provide support to a participant living in Kelmscott area. This role involves assisting with daily living tasks, community access, emotional support, and building healthy routines in a calm, consistent, and person-centred manner.

Participant Preferences:

  • Female support worker
  • Over 30 years old
  • MUST be comfortable with and love dogs (Participant has a dog that is part of her daily environment)

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with day-to-day tasks: meal prep, household tasks, community access, and structured routines
  • Provide emotional support and capacity-building strategies
  • Support to attend appointments and follow daily plans
  • Follow Behaviour Support Plan strategies (training provided)
  • Maintain professional boundaries and accurate shift documentation
  • Promote independence and safe decision-making
  • Work calmly and confidently in a trauma-informed manner

Essential Requirements

  • Female applicants aged 30+ (participant request)
  • Minimum 6–12 months experience in disability or mental health support
  • Must love dogs and feel comfortable working around them
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • WWCC
  • First Aid & CPR
  • Driver's licence + reliable car with comprehensive insurance
  • Strong communication skills and reliable work ethic

Desirable

  • Certificate III/IV in Individual Support, Mental Health, or Community Services
  • Positive Behaviour Support or de-escalation experience
