The Client

As a provider of end to end logistics solutions with offices spanning the globe this large multinational freight forwarder is looking for an import operator allowing you to apply your experience in sea freight.

The Position

As an Operations Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing the
import
freight forwarding processes across
sea shipments
. You will play a key role in ensuring documentation accuracy, liaising with service providers, and maintaining smooth communication.

The Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate import freight forwarding activities
  • Verify documentation provided by shippers, carriers, and other service providers
  • Register import shipments and ensure Quarantine inspections are completed
  • Distribute pre-alerts and relevant documents to clients and stakeholders in a timely manner
  • Liaise with Australian authorities in regards to import clearance
  • Action delivery requests and advise cartage teams to coordinate deliveries
  • Invoice customers and process payments for service providers

The Requirements

To be successful in this role, you require
experience in international freight forwarding
, along with:

  • Proven import operations experience in freight forwarding
  • Experience in using CargoWise
  • Strong customer service and problem-solving abilities
  • A collaborative, team-oriented approach with strong multitasking skills
  • Full-time working rights in Australia
