Bookkeeper / Administrator (Hybrid | Flexible Hours)

We're advertising this role on behalf of our client, a new startup backed by two large, established Melbourne businesses in the trade and equipment rental space.
They're looking for a capable and detail-driven Bookkeeper / Administrator to help get the business off the ground.
Your role:
- Manage bookkeeping tasks (payroll, invoicing, reconciliations)
- Assist with administration system and process setup
- Support the directors with general business admin tasks
You'll need:
- Proven bookkeeping experience with Xero
- Strong organisation and initiative
- Ability to work independently
- Melbourne-based, with occasional in-person meetings at the Tullamarine office
Details:
- Casual or subcontractor position (ABN required for subcontractors)
- Approx. 30–50 hours per month for the first 6 months
- Hybrid role – mix of remote and office-based work
- Flexible weekday hours
- Opportunity to move into full-time employment for the right person
Job Types: Subcontract, Casual
Pay: $50.00 – $70.00 per hour
Expected hours: 8 – 12 per week
Work Location: Hybrid remote in Hawthorn VIC 3122
