Role Overview
We're looking for a hands-on SEO Specialist with experience in technical SEO, strategy, and account management. This role is perfect for someone who loves diving into the details while also building strong client relationships and crafting impactful SEO strategies.
You'll manage a diverse portfolio of clients across industries like eCommerce and lead generation, using your technical skills to optimise their organic performance. From detailed audits and technical fixes to high-level strategy development, you'll gain hands-on experience with various CMS platforms and SEO tools.
As part of our dynamic team of link builders, copywriters, and senior SEO strategists, you'll deliver tangible results while receiving mentorship from industry-leading technical SEO experts to elevate your career.
Key Responsibilities
- Site Audits & Optimisation: Conduct technical SEO audits, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement fixes such as meta tags, internal linking, sitemap updates, redirects, canonical tags, and more.
- SEO Strategy: Support the SEO Manager in designing and executing comprehensive SEO strategies across a range of clients and industries.
- Keyword Research: Perform in-depth keyword research and intent analysis to create effective targeting strategies.
- Content Development: Write detailed, data-driven content briefs aligned with E-E-A-T principles, leveraging SEO best practices to deliver value.
- Competitor Analysis: Benchmark client performance against competitors and identify content and growth opportunities.
- Link Building: Collaborate with the link-building team to develop strategies that enhance clients' domain authority.
- Performance Tracking: Monitor and report on key SEO metrics such as organic traffic, keyword rankings, user behaviour, and conversions using tools like Ahrefs, SEMRush, Google Analytics, Screaming Frog, and Google Search Console.
- Client Management: Present results, articulate your recommendations, and foster strong, proactive relationships with clients.
- Algorithm Updates: Stay up-to-date with industry trends and search algorithm changes, ensuring strategies evolve with the landscape.
Required Experience & Skills
- You have a minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in implementing SEO campaigns, preferably in an agency.
- You have a solid understanding of how SEO works, including how sites are crawled, the importance of site structure, subfolders, domains as well as what can be optimised (and how).
- Strong written language skills with the ability to brief efficiently and polish content to achieve your SEO goals.
- Solid understanding of HTML, CSS and Javascript in relation to SEO.
- You are proficient in leading SEO tools like Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, Google Analytics 4, Google Search Console, SEMRush, Copyscape, etc.
- Ability to implement structured data and schema markup.
- Meticulous attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- You're a natural storyteller, you have the ability to digest data and turn it into tangible suggestions that can easily be understood by those without your level of expertise.
- You're confident to share your professional opinion, you're goal and outcomes-orientated.
- You're a self-starter, with an innate curiosity.
- A bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, computer science or a related field is a bonus.
- A can-do attitude.
