**The Role**
The senior position of SEO Lead is responsible for undertaking the creation and / or management of Search Engine Optimisation campaigns in addition to providing guidance to a dedicated and passionate team of SEO Specialists; working closely with the Head of SEO to ensure the overall performance of the department and engage directly with a selection of key clients.
The SEO Lead possesses extensive experience in relation to facilitating high performance SEO campaigns. They will be well versed in the medium with a hands-on appreciation of platforms such as Screaming Frog, Website Speed Tests, Siteliner, Google Keyword Planner, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Google Trends, Google Analytics, Agency Analytics & Data Studio. In addition to being skilled at using CRM software such as WordPress, Drupal, Joomla and eCommerce platforms such as Shopify, Magento and OpenCart. The SEO Lead will have a strong aptitude for leadership and practical experience managing and extracting the highest performance from a specialist team. As this is a senior position the SEO Lead will have the ability to establish positive and productive relationships, the capability and willingness to give and receive honest, balanced feedback and demonstrate competence and character that generates and inspires trust.
A principal responsibility of the SEO Lead is to manage the SEO team. Actively monitoring the performance of the SEO team and the resources required to maintain delivery KPIs. Report to and work with the Operations Manager to facilitate additions to the team as required.
Oversee and be responsible for evaluating campaign briefs as supplied by internal and external stakeholders and facilitating where necessary, refinement to the stated objectives and strategic directions - positively influencing the final deliverables by ensuring a concise and effective briefing.
Ensuring that the campaigns produced and managed by the team meet Impressive standards by making sure that all team members are highly attentive to briefings and delivering high performing campaigns.
Campaigns will adhere to Impressive’s campaign plans for each service which includes setup and regular review of onsite, offsite keywords strategies, tracking and reporting.
Being involved in the assessment and forecasting of the potential performance of SEO campaigns including evaluations in conjunction with client directives and strategic directions from the account manager/s will be used to establish key performance indicators (KPI’s) pertaining to the performance of the campaign, such as rankings and traffic etc.
**Responsibilities**
- Supervise, manage and lead a division of the SEO team
- Support and drive the SEO team to meet and exceed KPIs
- Oversee the operations and conduct of the SEO team to Impressive standards and ensure guidelines and procedures are being adhered to
- Provide clear, honest and productive feedback to members of the SEO team to support their development and results
- Conduct SEO team performance reviews and appraisals
- Mentor, upskill and support SEO team members
- Improve SEO systems and procedures
- Management of internal relationships
- Ensure client KPIs are being met
- Retention of clients through site optimisation
- Goal setting for clients
- Review and identify the most critical issues of the website and recommend fixes
- Deliver deadlines in a timely manner
- Superior time management skills
- Weekly and monthly communication with account managers of latest trends

- Stay up to date with the latest SEO and digital marketing trends and best practices
**Requirements**:
Minimum 4 years SEO experience with an excellent track record in planning & executing successful digital marketing strategies
- Demonstrable experience managing at least 2 direct reports within an agency or client-side environment
- Excellent project management skills

- In-depth understanding of SEO- both technical and non technical
- Excellent Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets skills and experience
- Experience in working with the following platforms: SEMrush, Screaming Frog, Ahrefs, GSC, GA, GDS
