The weather's warming up and the silly season is nearing so Penny's Hotel is on the lookout for a new full time assistant venue manager We're looking for a natural born leader – a people person with a passion for hospitality You will have the freedom to put your cocktail creation skills to good use and the opportunity to grow and learn within the business.

The successful applicant will have:

  • 2+ years as a hospitality duty or assistant venue manager;

  • An in-depth understanding of cocktails, wines, beers, and spirits;

  • Experience with gaming and TAB;

  • A strong understanding of the hotel industry, and the importance of customer service and on-the-floor presence;

  • Availability in line with business needs;

  • A professional manner and presentation;

  • The ability to lead by example, be hands on, supervise and motivate the team with a supportive attitude; and

  • RSA, RCG qualifications (ARCG will be looked favourably upon).

Key Responsibilities:

Reporting directly to the venue manager/licensee, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the venue during your shifts. However, as the assistant venue manager, your main role will be to work closely with the venue manager to develop and implement strategies to drive performance and increase revenue across both food and beverage.
