We are looking for an Assistant Accountant with a high-level of attention to detail and accuracy to join our Retirement Living business. It is a part-time role (3 days per week)

About the Role:

Reporting to the General Manager, you will be responsible for:

– Undertaking accounts processing (AP/AR) and bank recs for our two retirement villages (in Sydney and Melbourne)

– Submitting BAS, preparing annual budgets and coordinating annual audit reviews with our external auditors

– Preparing monthly and quarterly financial reporting

– We will provide an ability to undertake some of the work hours from home if that suits the preferred candidate

The attributes and skills we are looking for:

– Degree in Accounting, Finance or other similar field

– Experience dealing with multi-company entities and intercompany transactions would be beneficial.

– Excellent organisational and planning skills.

– Strong verbal and written communication skills.

– Advanced knowledge of Excel, Microsoft Office and competency in using computer-based applications.

– Ability to work autonomously and within a team.

– High level of organisational and time management skills with an impeccable attention to detail.
