Commercial Manager

We currently have an opportunity for a Commercial Manager to join our Government & Integrated Facilities Management team and play a key role in driving commercial excellence and operational success for a major State Government contract. Reporting to the Head of Commercial, you'll help deliver high-quality outcomes that support our essential services.
What You'll Do
This role offers a broad scope, with key responsibilities including:
- Oversee commercial operations and manage financial deadlines to ensure contract performance and sustainability.
- Lead contract negotiations and interpret existing master service agreements, ensuring compliance and optimal outcomes.
- Work closely with the Contract Manager at our North Ryde headquarters, with regular travel to the Homebush site (at least once a week).
- Develop and implement commercial strategies, risk management plans, and governance processes to drive business growth.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.
- Mentor and supervise a small team of contract administrators, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Provide commercial analytics and reporting to support decision-making and identify opportunities for value creation.
What You'll Bring
- Proven experience at a senior level in a large services business, ideally with government contracting exposure.
- Demonstrated ability to manage commercial functions, contract administration, and project governance in a performance-based environment.
- Strong negotiation, influencing, and stakeholder engagement skills, with a track record of delivering commercial outcomes.
- Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills, with the ability to mentor and develop team members.
- High level of ethics, a positive attitude, and a commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes for clients.
