Burleigh Heads, Queensland, Australia Runway Scout Full time $90,000 - $120,000 per year

As a Fashion Designer at Runway Scout, you'll lead the development and design of exclusive collections, from initial trend research and mood boarding through to final product. Working closely with our Founder and Creative Director, you will support the end-to-end design process to ensure our collections remain aligned with Runway Scout's aesthetic and wider market trends.

The role:

  • Develop and design pieces for weekly drops, from initial research and concept through to final product.
  • Conduct research on market trends, customer behaviour and emerging fashion movements to help inform the design direction.
  • Create mood boards, colour palettes and concept sketches to support the development of cohesive collection stories.
  • Collaborate with our garment technician to run fit sessions, and ensure garments meet quality standards.
  • Prepare detailed tech packs and liaise with suppliers.
  • Undertake fabric and trim selection, considering quality, cost and suitability.
  • Ensure all designs meet Runway Scout's quality standards, budget parameters and timelines.

This role is for you if you:

  • Have 2+ years' experience within a similar role.
  • Are proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator and Photoshop) and relevant design software.
  • Have a strong understanding of garment construction and fabric properties.
  • Strong creative eye and ability to interpret trends into commercially on-brand designs for the Runway Scout customer.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • High attention to detail and focus on quality and fit.
  • Ability to perform in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Print design experience is highly desirable but not essential.
