
Clinical Nurse/Team Leader

- Assist the Nurse Unit Managers in leadership of the nursing team by providing direction and support to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care
- Be accountable for daily operational management in collaboration with the Nurse Unit Manager
- Act as a clinical and educational resource within AOPS using your knowledge, skills and experience to inform and guide evidence-based workplace practices
- Resource management of nursing staff to ensure service delivery is maintained, including rostering, sick leave management, and allocation of workloads
- Act as an initial escalation point for clinical and non-clinical issues including, but not limited to, complaints, challenging patients, conflict resolution, deteriorating patients and IT system faults
- Minimum of 2 years clinical experience in AOPS or an acute hospital setting
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Capable conflict management skills and demonstrated initiative to improve service delivery
- Demonstrated clinical leadership skills, organisational skills and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated experience working with a multidisciplinary team
- Previous experience working in a Team Leader position will be highly regarded
