The Opportunity

The Testing Engineer & Production Planner is responsible for planning and coordinating small scale production of ELV and LV electrical systems and testing and validating the systems to project requirements and relevant standards and regulations.  You will be required to coordinate with different departments and perform FAT and FWTs on all products to ensure compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out planning and coordination of production schedules
  • Supervise schedules and workflow to ensure that deliveries are made in a timely manner
  • Perform pre-organization of production materials before the commencement of production
  • Coordinate and develop production plans
  • Create efficient scheduling processes or methods to attain production goals
  • Maintain safety stock, production material and 3rd party parts to avoid shortage
  • Generate production reports using SAP work environment
  • Set and measure KPI and look for continuous improvements
  • Generate and maintain factory quality reports and registers
  • Perform Factory Witness Test (FWT) infront of Clients
  • Perform Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) on local build systems
  • Proactive involvement in HSE activities and maintain zero harm culture
  • Assist engineering with production costing for tenders
  • Opening and/or closing the working day on the shop floor
  • Reponsible for production quality control including using Quality Incident Register and/or EPI register to register quality issue

Requirements:

  • 2+ years in a similar position
  • Electrical or Electronics Engineering Degree or based on strong experiences in similar role
  • Excellent interpersonal skills able to work with different departments and manage a small team of production staff
  • Must have Process Oriented Mindset
  • Must have a good knowledge of ERP and MRP operation
  • Good coordination, organizational ability
  • Able to multitask and remain agile
  • Experience working on ELV and LV power systems is mandatory
  • Must be familiar with WHS processes and systems including SWMS and running toolboxes
  • Able to work under pressure
  • Able to read and understand engineering specifications, manuals and drawings
  • AutoCad; MS Office; MS Excel; MS Project
  • Strong presentation skills and ability to present to large group or audience
