- Work across React, NestJS, AWS, Docker to build powerful internal tools
- Own end-to-end development and mentor junior developers
- On-site role in Sydney with a national agency doing big things
About the Role
We're hiring a Senior Full Stack Developer to join a powerhouse internal product team inside one of Australia's fastest-growing digital agencies. This role is all about solving real business problems with smart code, building the systems, automations, and tools that make the agency more effective and scalable.
You'll lead end-to-end development across new and existing platforms used daily by staff and customers, while mentoring junior developers and helping shape best practices. There's no fluff here: just clean, maintainable code, regular releases, and direct impact.
If you enjoy writing scalable code, optimising infrastructure, and working across the full stack in a team that moves fast and values ownership, this one's for you.
What You'll Be Doing
- Design, build, and maintain applications using React, NestJS, , and AWS ECS (Fargate).
- Own end-to-end features: build, test, deploy, and monitor.
- Lead sprint planning with the product team and guide junior developers.
- Implement and improve CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions) and deployment workflows.
- Work with technologies like Docker, MongoDB, Redis, BullMQ, and JWT.
- Collaborate on system architecture and scalability strategy.
- Ensure clean, secure, and well-documented code.
- Contribute to internal tools that make life easier for both customers and staff.
- Apply your understanding of how digital agencies and SEO/Paid teams operate.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of full-stack development experience (JavaScript/TypeScript).
- Comfortable building frontend + backend features and deploying to production.
- Experience with AWS microservices, CI/CD, and workflow automation.
- Pragmatic mindset: you ship fast, don't cut corners, and write code that lasts.
- Collaborative, humble, and eager to mentor others.
- Australian Citizen or PR holder – must have full working rights.
- Able to work on-site in Sydney (this is not a remote role).
Bonus Points If You've Used
- SendGrid, Google Analytics, Google Ads, Microsoft Ads.
- Cloudflare, Teamwork APIs, or the Xero API.
- Tools or integrations commonly used in digital marketing agencies.
Why You'll Love This Role
- Tight-knit product team with autonomy, fast decisions, and real ownership.
- Projects that have a direct impact on business performance and customer experience.
- Pet-friendly, snack-stocked, high-energy office with barista-style coffee.
- Free breakfast Fridays and lunch Mondays.
- Salary packaging available.
- Ongoing career development and technical training.
