The role
We are thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity for a Business Development Manager to become part of our dynamic and successful team in Darra. This position emphasises the importance of providing consistently exceptional customer service while actively seeking out sales opportunities. This will be achieved through the thoughtful application of your skills, knowledge, and experience in aftermarket spare parts for commercial vehicles.
Reporting to the Branch Manager, the key responsibilities of the role include:
- Establish, develop, and maintain positive business relationships through regular and effective customer visitations, including to major accounts customer
- Seek to increase business opportunities by understanding of the customer's needs by helping maintain a positive relationship between customers and Multispares.
- Seek out new customers focusing on those with greatest relevance to national sales projects and with maximum sales potential for the branch
- Ensure customer satisfaction by assist and expediting the resolution of customer problems.
- Identify best practices and / or promotional trends to keep our competitive edge in the market.
- Provide support for trade shows and other customer events as required.
About You
As our new Business Development Manager you will be tasked with expanding the customer base and fostering sales growth from both new and existing accounts within the designated territories. You will also have a demonstrated history in automotive or commercial parts sales. Experience in HV and automotive spare parts sales will be particularly beneficial.
In addition
- It is anticipated the Business Development Manager will work externally 3-4 days per week. One day per week would be used for branch communication, discussing priorities, writing reports and background research.
- The majority of external sales activity would be based in the metropolitan area however it is anticipated that major regional markets would be visited periodically.
- Support and maintain safe work practices at all times. Actively participate in reporting or preventing any risks that may cause illness or injury to self and others and adhere to established Safe Work Procedures.
