What you'll be doing

As Senior Pharmacist – Clinical Lead, you will take the lead in advancing clinical pharmacy practice and driving high standards of patient-centred care. You will supervise professional development, deliver clinical oversight and contribute to research initiatives that benefit our patients and the profession.

  • Lead and oversee delivery of clinical pharmacy services
  • Allocate duties and support staff pharmacists in consultation with Pharmacy Coordinators
  • Coordinate training, placement supervision and development activities for pharmacists and students
  • Ensure quality assurance and adherence to SHPA standards and policies
  • Initiate, collaborate in and contribute to clinical research

Essential Criteria:

  • Qualification: Pharmacy qualifications conferred by Tertiary Education Institutions e.g. Bachelor of Pharmacy. Must satisfy Grade 3 classification as per Health Employees Pharmacists (State) Award
  • Registration: Full and unrestricted Pharmacist Registration with AHPRA

Selection Criteria:

  • Demonstrated excellent communication skills both written, verbal and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated extensive experience in clinical pharmacy practice
  • Demonstrated excellent therapeutic knowledge and ability to exercise a high level of initiative in the application of pharmaceutical principles to clinical practice
  • Demonstrated organisational skills and the ability to prioritise work and manage time to meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team with a high degree of self-motivation and ability to effect practice change
  • Demonstrated leadership ability and experience in staff supervision and training.
  • Willing to work on weekends, on-call as per departmental rosters
